SUPP Batu Kawah members using pamphlets to share the good works of the party

KUCHING, Dec 27: Infrastructure development is slowly but surely taking place in Batu Kawa state constituency, and its assemblyman, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, wants to chronicle this for public consumption.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Batu Kawa service centre would be distributing pamphlets detailing each and every development projects being carried out in the Batu Kawa constituency.

“Dr Sim, who is also Minister of Housing and Local Government, has been pushing ahead with many development projects in Batu Kawa since the last state election. He has proposed more projects beneficial to the constituents for 2019.

“However, in view of the very wide area of Batu Kawa constituency, it is not possible to carry out effective supervision at every corner. Constituents can seek assistance from the Batu Kawa Service Centre at any time whenever they encounter problems,” said a statement from the service centre today.

The statement emphasised that everyone should understand that project implementation needed to follow established procedures, meaning projects could not be implemented overnight.

As such, the service centre would be distributing pamphlets to residents in the constituency, updating them on the progress of projects being carried out in their areas.

The pamphlets would carry information on the projects, their dates of implementation and other details.

“The proposed development projects in Batu Kawa are varied, including the installation of street lightings, road upgrading and upgrading of drainage.

“Some of these projects have been approved, while others are in the process of tendering,” said the statement. — DayakDaily
