KUCHING, Aug 16: Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof and Dewan Negara Speaker Tan Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar as well as national athletes diving queen Dato Pandelela Rinong Pamg and iron lady Grace Wong Xiu Mei are among the 77 individuals awarded the Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Medal in conjunction with the 60 Years of Sarawak Independence celebration.
Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg presented the medals to the recipients at the awarding ceremony held at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex here today.
Federal ministers from Sarawak are among the 43 recipients of the Diamond Jubilee Excellence Commemorative Gold medals.
They are National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Rubiah Wang, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, Deputy Economy Minister Dato Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Dato Sri Huang Tiong Sii and Deputy Health Minister Lukanisman Awang Sauni.
The recipients from the Sarawak Cabinet for the Gold medals are Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Dato Idris Buang, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, Datuk Liwan Lagang, Datuk Rosey Yunus, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, Datuk Dr Malcom Mussen Lamoh, Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, Datuk Snowdan lawan, Datuk Abdullah Saidol, Datuk Sebastian Ting, Datuk Gerawat Gala, Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, Ir Aidel Lariwoo, Dato Henry Harry Jinep, Dr Ripin Lamat, Mohamad Razi Sitam, Martin Ben, Dato Majang Renggi, Jefferson Jamit Unyat, Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu and Michael Tiang.
The other Gold recipients are former Armed Forces chief Gen (Rtd) Tun Dr Mohamed Hashim Mohd Ali, Tan Sri Peter Chin Kui Fah, Tan Sri Dr Muhammad Leo Toyad Abdullah, Tan Sri Mohd Jamil Johari, Tan Sri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie, Tan Sri Safri Awang Zaidell, Dato Sri Abang Karim Tun Openg, Datuk Joseph Salang, Dato Pandelela Rinong Pamg and Tania Bugo.
A total of of 32 out of 34 recipients received the Diamond Jubilee Excellent Commemorative Silver medals.
They are Dato Doreen Mayang, Datin Sri Enn Ong Siok Ean, Dato Fatimah Mohd Iskandar, Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi, Datuk Bishop Danald Jute, Datuk Dr Mohammad Abdullah Zaidel, Datu Buckland Bangik, Datuk Misnu Taha, Dato Wee Hong Seng, Datu Junaidi Reduan, Adam Yii Siew Sang, Sarawak Police Commissioner Dato Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, Leftenan General Datuk Stephen Mundaw (B), Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai, Datuk Awang Bujang Awang Antek, Datu Ose Murang, Datu Hamzah Drahman, Datu Abdul Ghafur Shariff, Datu Loling Othman Alwi, Datu Dr Adi Badiozaman Tuah, Leftenan General Datuk Awie Suboh (B), Dato Nahrawi Abdul Rahman, Leftenan Colonel Robert Rizal Abdullah, Leftenan (B) David Fu Chee Mng, Beliang Bali, Sergeant Mering Imang, Sergeant Dajai Anggie, Corporal Unggek Antin, Lance Corporal (B) Sigai Nawan, Andrewson Ngalai, Safar Ghafar.
