KUCHING, May 19: Kuching South City Commission (MBKS) urges those who have no business with Dewan Masyarakat MBKS which is being used as a Covid-19 One-Stop Centre to stay away from the premises.

Its mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng in a statement today requested the public to give full cooperation.

“Do not wander or roam around at the Covid-19 One-Stop Centre, Dewan Masyarakat MBKS. Leave the compound as soon as possible if you are done with your turn at getting the service.

“For those who do not have any related matter with the centre, please do not roam around in the area.

“The public are advised to give full cooperation and follow the (traffic) flows provided by the Covid-19 One-Stop Centre to ensure the smooth running of the centre,” said Wee.

Meanwhile, Wee took the opportunity to express appreciation to both Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and the frontliners stationed at the said one-stop centre.

On behalf of Uggah, he handed over packed food prepared in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri to these frontliners yesterday.

“This is an appreciation to the frontliners for their endless commitment and hard work that they have showed since the pandemic hit the world. It is a small token especially during this festive month,” said Wee.

Wee reminded members of the public or private companies who wish to donate food or drinks to the frontliners at the Covid-19 One-Stop Centre to contact Mr Ting at 082-354200 or 010-9223705. — DayakDaily
