KUCHING, Nov 21: Longhouse residents in the State should not be divided just because of differing political beliefs.
According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Bukit Begunan incumbent Datuk Mong Dagang said the local community should instead assess the capabilities of a government without being influenced by personal agendas.
āThe State government led by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has been proven successful in bringing various (forms) of progress and development.
āAs such, it is not a loss for the people to continue to support GPS and they should not be divided just because of politics,ā he said during the ‘Randau GPS’ programme held in Rh Ramping in Klauh, and Rh Faizal in Engkeramut, yesterday.
He also reminded the people, especially in Bukit Begunan, to give a mandate to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to continue to govern the State.
āThe GPS development plan for 2020-2030, is seen to be able to lift the economy as well as (support the) progress of Sarawak,ā he added. ā DayakDaily
