Dilapidated SK Abang Aing to get new blocks, facilities by 2027

KUCHING, Sept 20: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Abang Aing in Sri Aman will undergo upgrading works, involving the reconstruction of dilapidated Blocks A, B and C, construction of a new toilet block, and installation of a Sesco sub-station.

Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg was briefed on the project by Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) director Dr Cassidy Morris during a 30-minute stop at the school today, held in conjunction with the Pesta Benak celebration, Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) reported.

The upgrading works which commenced on Aug 12, are scheduled for completion by June 11, 2027.

Also present were Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis; Deputy Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh; Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel; Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor; Bukit Begunan assemblyman Datuk Mong Dagang; and Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD) permanent secretary Adana Jed. — DayakDaily
