KUCHING, April 9: Undivided unity, harmony, and the spirit of loyalty among Sarawakians will help Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in his tireless efforts to transform Sarawak into a progressive and prosperous region, says Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
In his Hari Raya Aidilfitri message today, Uggah said Abang Johari has done a lot for the State, and he expressed confidence that the Premier is capable of steering Sarawak to greater heights.
Meanwhile, Uggah also wishes the Muslims in Sarawak a joyous Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration with blessing, happiness, and peace.
At the same time, he called on Sarawakians to continue practising the ‘open house’ tradition during Hari Raya Aidilfitri to strengthen harmony, unity, and a sense of belonging.
He said the Hari Raya celebration transcends religious and ethnic boundaries, fostering social cohesion and harmony among all communities in Sarawak.
“It is a time when friends and neighbours, regardless of race and faith, bond with each other again to celebrate friendship and solidarity.
