KUCHING, April 3: The new Miri-Marudi road project with an R5 standard will be implemented under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Penguang Manggil said the existing road would be maintained pending the implementation of the project.
“I understand that some ask why this project has not started. It will be implemented in 12MP,” he told reporters when met at ‘Program Juh Sungkei’ held at Marudi Square on Sunday (April 2).
He added the new road project would also shorten the travel time between Miri and Marudi. — DayakDaily
