KUCHING, Jan 13: Those with an appetite for various local delicacies can visit the Kenyalang Chinese New Year bazaar, from Jan 11-24 during this festive season.

Open daily from 5pm at the Kenyalang Commercial Centre, the night market has 250 stalls operated by various races and ethnics in Sarawak.

“A variety of food, including snacks and cookies, cakes and others, prepared by various races, will be available at the market,” Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said when launching the market here today.

He also distributed Mandarin oranges and calendars to the stall operators at the event.

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Youth secretary, Milton Foo, were present. — DayakDaily
