DBKU orders non essential items businesses in DBKU area to close until March 31

KUCHING, Mar 19: Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) has instructed all businesses under its jurisdiction which provides non essential goods to close until Mar 31.

The city hall in a notice said it applies to those who operates hawker stalls at Anekarasa, Sg. Maong, Lorong Cathay, Open Air Market, Tower Market, Semarak, Koperkasa, Kuching Waterfront, Shoes Mending outlet near Satok flyover and bus station kiosk.

It also ordered other hawker stalls located at Sungai Lumut, Saujana Pelita, Medan Niaga Boyan, Gersik and Sourabaya, Kubah Ria, Stage Compound and India Street Mall to close.

Furthermore, it said night markets located at Ampar, Satok Uptown, Metrocity, Pasar Seni Haji Taha, Bandar Baru Semariang and farmers markets during the weekend were also required to follow its latest notice.

At the same time, DBKU said entertainment outlets such as reflexology centres, snooker centres, cinemas, laundry outlets and spa outlets are required to follow the order.

On another note, DBKU revealed that food and beverage (F&B) stalls and premises were only allowed to operate until 8 pm.

It added the F&B outlets just catered for drive through and take away services.

DBKU pointed out that stern action will be taken against businesses who do not abide by its latest notice.—DayakDaily
