DAP’s RSN Rayer barred from entering Sarawak

KUCHING, Nov 16: Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) RSN Rayer has been denied entry into Sarawak where he is scheduled to attend a ceramah (political talk) at Batu Kawah tonight and will be flying back to Penang at 9pm later.

The Jelutong incumbent was denied entry by the Sarawak State Immigration upon arrival in Kuching International Airport at 5pm.

According to DAP Sarawak in its media group chat, it appears that a ban was imposed on Rayer’s entry by the Sarawak government since 2016, but there was no reason given.

In a short video, Rayer apologised to all supporters and members of the public who are expecting him to attend DAP Sarawak’s ceramah tonight as he will not be able to be there in person.

“I am sorry I’m not able to see you and speak to you in person tonight.

“But remember on Nov 19, please come out and vote for (Pakatan) Harapan. I hope to see you soon. ‘Kita mesti boleh’ (we can),” he said. — DayakDaily
