KUCHING, July 18: Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) 2022/2023 candidates who have achieved CGPA 3.3 and above may apply for the ‘2022/2023 STPM Excellence Award Scheme’ initiated by Bandar Kuching and Stampin Parliamentary Constituency Service Centre.
Sarawak Democratic Action Party (DAP) chairman Chong Chieng Jen who is Stampin MP said those who scored CGPA 3.9 and above would be rewarded RM1,000 cash prize, followed by CGPA 3.7 to 3.89 (RM800), CGPA 3.5 to 3.69 (RM600), and CGPA 3.3 to 3.49 (RM500).
“Previously, we had 201 students from Stampin constituency and 174 from Bandar Kuching constituency, those were SPM students, to who we have given out cash rewards last week.
“Now, we have this programme to reward the STPM students,” he said at a press conference held at Sarawak DAP headquarters here today.
He also said for last year, they had received over 140 applications from STPM students for the same programme.
The programme is open to those residing in Bandar Kuching or Stampin constituencies, or enrolled in a secondary school located within the constituencies.
To apply, eligible applicants must prepare four documents, namely identity card (IC), 2022/2023 STPM exam transcript, school leaving certificate and bank statement, and send them online via https://forms.gle/baubZ8wBMukbt1ys5.
The deadline for the application is July 24, 2023.
