Daily toll of infamous Pasai Cluster down to 4 today

KUCHING, Feb 6: The daily increase of Covid-19 cases involved with the notorious Pasai Cluster are down to only four cases today.

According to previous reports by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the cluster had been reporting three-digit or two-digit figures ever since the outbreak on Jan 9, 2021.


Today, positive cases of the cluster were found in Song (2), Lundu (1) and Kapit (1).

With that, the cumulative number of positive cases involved with the cluster now stands at 2,363 and it is the only cluster in Sarawak with a four-digit figure.

SDMC also revealed that out of 25,500 individuals screened, 22,815 were negative and there are 322 samples awaiting test results.

Meanwhile among the other 14 active clusters in Sarawak, only three registered increases in cases today.

They are the Seruas Cluster in Beluru with two new cases, Sebangkoi Cluster in Sri Aman with two new cases and the Tabong Cluster in Bau with also two new cases.

The remaining 11 clusters namely the Jun Heng, Bintang Daily, Jalan Pengiran, Indah Riang, Bedayan, Rakut, Bukit Sekubong, Jelita, Keranji Tabuan, Bah Sayap and Stutong Clusters did not find any new infections today. — DayakDaily
