Crab hunter slashed with knife after dispute over hunting spot

MIRI, July 26: An argument between two crab hunters in Bakam over a crab hunting spot, here, yesterday, resulted in one of them sustaining injuries.

According to sources, the victim in his 60’s was slashed with a knife in the 10am incident. However the victim only lodged a police report today.


It is understood that the suspect had repeatedly stabbed the elderly man during the commotion, leading to the victim sustaining injuries on his neck, forehead and arms.

The suspect immediately fled the scene following the attack.

The source added that the police has identified the suspect. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing hurt. — DayakDaily
