Covid-19 update: Three new PUI cases in Sarawak, total reaches 102

KUCHING, Feb 20: Three new suspected cases for Covid-19 were recorded in Sarawak today (Feb 20).

The State Disaster Management Committee in a statement today disclosed that the three persons under investigation (PUI) were being treated at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

With the three new cases, Sarawak now has a cumulative total of 102 PUI cases as from Jan 10 until Feb 20, comprising 79 Malaysians, 20 Chinese nationals, one Thai, one Indonesian and one Canadian.


Of the total, 97 have tested negative while five (four at SGH and one in Miri Hospital, all Malaysians) were still awaiting results from laboratory testing.

As at 12 noon yesterday (Feb 19), the Health Department had screened 10,647 arrivals at various air, land and sea entry points statewide, bringing the total number to 141,939 arrivals since Feb 1 this year. — DayakDaily
