Covid-19: Pasai Cluster leads with 74 new cases

KUCHING, Feb 13: The Pasai Cluster in Sibu continues to account for the most number of positive Covid-19 cases in Sarawak with 74 new cases today.

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said in a statement that the new cases had brought the cumulative figures to 2,498.

Some 26,500 individuals from the cluster were screened, of which 23,600 were tested negative while 403 are awaiting their laboratory test results.


Pasai is one of the 16 active clusters in Sarawak.

Another three new cases were linked to Seruas Cluster in Beluru, bringing the total tally of confirmed cases from this cluster to 77.

Jun Heng Cluster in Bintulu also reported two new cases, bring the total 31 cases to-date.

Meanwhile, no new Covid-19 cases were reported for other 13 active clusters.

As at noon today, the remaining active clusters are Nanga Lijan in Julau (26), Sebangkoi in Sri Aman (33), Bintang Daily in Meradong (10), Jalan Pengiran in Matu (24), Tabong in Bau (34), Indah Riang in Kuching (21), Bedayan in Serian (17), Rakut in Miri (172), Bukit Sekubong in Sebauh (33), Jelita in Miri (56), Keranji Tabuan in Kuching (15), Bah Sayap in Miri (96) and Stutong in Kuching (41). — DayakDaily
