Covid-19: No deaths reported as Sarawak logs 670 new cases in Epid Week 36

KUCHING, Sept 12: Sarawak has recorded 670 new Covid-19 cases during Epid (Epidemiological) Week 36.

According to a statement issued today by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), 648 cases were classified as Categories 1 and 2, while 22 were classified as Categories 3, 4, and 5.

This has brought the total cumulative number of cases reported in the State to 313,821.


By district, Kuching remained at the top with the most number of new cases at 234, followed by Sibu (105), Miri (101), Bintulu (65), Samarahan (28), Serian (20), Bau (14), Mukah (13), Dalat (11), Sarikei (9), Sri Aman (8), Limbang (5), Meradong, Asajaya, Kapit, Subis, and Simunjan (4 each), Lubok Antu and Pakan (3 each), Daro, Marudi, Kanowit, Beluru, Selangau, and Telang Usan (2 each), Lawas, Julau, Saratok, Lundu, Song, Tanjung Manis, Tebedu, and Pusa (1 each).

Furthermore, there has been no new Covid-19 death reported this week. — DayakDaily
