KUCHING, Oct 17: No new Covid-19 deaths were reported in Sarawak during Epidemiological (Epid) Week 41, from Oct 9 until Oct 15.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said however, Sarawak still reported 424 new Covid-19 cases, a decrease compared to 442 cases reported in Epid Week 40.
Of the new cases, 418 were under Categories 1 and 2, while six were under Categories 3, 4, and 5.
This brings the cumulative number of cases reported in the State to 316,544.
By district, Kuching remained at the top of the list with the most number of new cases at 172, followed by Sibu (67), Miri (50), Bintulu (26), Mukah (17), Bau (15), Sarikei (10), Serian (10), Samarahan (9), Sri Aman (8), Simunjan (4), Saratok (4), Subis (4), Dalat (3), Julau (3), Kapit (3), Pakan (3), Lubok Antu (2), Meradong (2), Lawas (2), Selangau (2), while Marudi, Tanjung Manis, Betong, Lundu, Tatau, Kanowit, Kabong and Belaga recorded one case each. — DayakDaily
