Covid-19: Nation records 14 new cases today

KUCHING, Sept 3: Malaysia recorded 14 new Covid-19 cases today, of which 10 were local and four imported transmissions.

According to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement, Benteng Lahad Datu cluster recorded six new cases followed by three other clusters namely Tawar (3), Bunga (2) and Telaga (1).

The total number of infections in the country has reached 9,374 since the outbreak began.


Active cases as of today stand at 163.

No fatality was reported to the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) today, making the total number of cumulative death cases unchanged at 128.

MOH also announced that four more patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals, bringing the number of recoveries to 9,083 cases.

Four patients are currently being treated in Intensive Care Units, including three who require ventilator support. — DayakDaily
