Covid-19: Miri, Limbang record 3 deaths as Sarawak logs 683 new cases in Epid Week 37

KUCHING, Sept 19: Miri recorded two Covid-19 deaths while Limbang recorded one, as Sarawak reported 683 new Covid-19 cases during Epid (Epidemiological) Week 37.

In a statement today, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that of the new cases reported, 656 were under Categories 1 and 2, while 27 were under Categories 3, 4, and 5.

This has brought the total cumulative number of cases reported in the State to 314,504.


By district, Kuching remained at the top with the most number of new cases at 222, followed by Sibu (114), Miri (98), Bintulu (57), Samarahan (28), Sarikei (26), Dalat (23), Serian (19), Bau (13), Mukah (8), Betong (7), Sri Aman (7), Asajaya (7), Pakan (6), Limbang (5), Meradong (5), Kanowit (5), Tatau (5), Subis (4), Kapit (3), Daro (3), Lawas (3), Simunjan (2), Lubok Antu (2), Lundu (2), Tanjung Manis (2), Pusa (2), Matu (2), while Telang Usan, Julau, and Kabong recorded one case each. — DayakDaily
