Covid-19: Malaysia registers 130 new cases today

KUCHING, Mar 20: Malaysia has recorded another 130 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) today.

Ministry of Health (MoH) revealed the information on its social media page today, revealed that out of the 130 people who confirmed positive for Covid-19, 48 people are from the tabligh gathering held at a mosque located at Sri Petaling, Selangor last month.


MoH noted that the latest figure put the total number of positive Covid-19 cases past the 1,000 mark to 1,030 cases.

At the same time, MoH observed that there are 12 patients who had recovered and were allowed to be discharged from the hospital.

Thus, it said the number has brought the total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 to 87 cases.

In the meantime, MoH advised the public to remain active at home despite the movement control order (MCO) implemented by the federal government.

MoH said the people can perform cardiovascular exercise such as indoor fitness exercise bike, run on treadmill or exercise which does not involve equipments such as push-ups, squats, planks or light exercise such as yoga or tai chi to stay active at home.ā€”DayakDaily
