Covid-19 curve in Sarawak is flattening, no new case again today: SDMC

KUCHING, May 29: Sarawak has reported zero new Covid-19 cases again today with State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas announcing that the disease curve in Sarawak is flattening.

However, Uggah reminded all Sarawakians to remain vigilant and continue to play their roles to ensure that the curve continues to flatten.


“The success that we have achieved is due to united efforts of all involved and the people who follow all the standard operating procedures; and all officers of the government; the frontliners playing their parts to make sure that we are able to fight to win the Covid-19 war,” said Uggah in a press conference to update on the Coronavirus situation in Sarawak.

With no new cases today, brought the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sarawak to date remains at 552.

Meanwhile, there are 13 new cases of recoveries whereby all discharged patients were from Sarawak General Hospital today.

A total of 72 new PUIs (Persons-under-investigation) were reported and there are a total of 428 persons-under-surveillance (PUS), 339 of whom are related to the college student from Belawai case.—DayakDaily
