Up to date, all swabs are awaiting results. The second swabs will also be taken on the 10th day of their quarantine before they are allowed to return home.

Another 11 swab tests on passengers who took the same flight as the patient from Kuala Lumpur were negative.

Case 1,115 was given a home surveillance order (HSO) for 14-day self-quarantine upon his arrival at Sibu Airport on Dec 19.

It was later on the eighth day of quarantine (Dec 29) that his rapid test polymerase chain reaction (rT-PCR) test results were confirmed to be positive.

During his home quarantine, the patient acknowledged that he did not leave his house and only had dinner with family members, but it was noted that there were a few visitors from longhouses during Christmas Day.

In the meantime, SDMC said, active contact detection (ACD) on other close contacts are being carried out by the Sibu and Sarikei Health Departments.—DayakDaily
