KUCHING, Feb 25: The number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak has risen to 460 cases with one death in Sarawak General Hospital today.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily update statement said the death involved a 25-year-old woman with heart disease. She was brought-in-dead.
Of the total new cases, 451 were in Category 1 and 2 with no to mild symptoms, three cases in Category 3 with lung infections and two in Category 4 with lung infections and requiring oxygen support.
There are five cases in Category 5 with lung infections and require ventilator support.
The cumulative tally of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak now stands at 258,412 cases.
Kuching remained the top with 177 new cases, followed by Miri (97), Sibu (88), Kapit (26), Bintulu (16) and Limbang (13).
Districts which recorded single digit cases for today are Sarikei (9), Kanowit (5), Pakan (5), Song (4), Saratok (3), Serian (3), Bukit Mabong (3), Samarahan (2), Betong (2), Meradong (2) and Subis (2).
Lawas, Bau and Matu recorded one cases each.
No new clusters were reported today. — DayakDaily
