Cove 55 to close temporarily until May 30 after 3 staff members down with Covid-19

KUCHING, May 14: Cove 55, a boutique retreat located near Santubong here, will be temporarily closed until May 30 after three staff members tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday (May 12).

In a notice posted on their Facebook page, Cove 55 management team said that they plan to re-open on May 31 but subjected to any further instructions from the health authority.

Following the cases, Cove 55 emphasised that they have taken immediate proactive measures to alert guests who have visited the retreat in the past seven days so that they can take appropriate actions.

Guests who have booked for a staycation and affected by the retreat closure have also been informed.

As guests and workers’ health remained their utmost priority, the management said that all staff members have been sent for Covid-19 testing and the premises have also been fully sanitised.

All staff will also undergo a second round of swab testing and the premises will undergo full disinfection prior to their planned re-opening.

Cove 55 management also gave assurance that they are ready to assist the authorities with track and trace as necessary.

During this challenging period, the management appealed to its valued guests for their patience and understanding while they managed the situation to their best of ability.
