KUCHING, Oct 31: In conjunction with the change to the Kuching Smart Parking System effective tomorrow (Nov 1), motorists who still hold valid parking coupons can apply for refunds until November 30, 2025.
In a statement, the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) and Kuching South City Council (MBKS) said parking coupon refunds can be made at the Kuching City Parking System Office located on the Ground Floor of Lot 9688 and 9692, Jalan Datuk Abang Abdul Rahim, here.
Coupon holders are required to submit their remaining coupons purchased between January 1, 2025, and October 31, 2025, along with the following serial numbers:
- 20 sen: AP05530001 – AP09530000
- 50 sen: BB3426001 – BB3506000
- 80 sen: CB0750001 – CB0780000
“Members of the public who still possess valid coupons may request refunds before November 30, 2025, and are encouraged to do so early to avoid last-minute congestion,” said the statement.
The transition from the traditional scratch-based coupon method to a digital platform is to enhance user convenience, improve enforcement efficiency, and support efforts to make Kuching a smart and sustainable city.
Under this new system, the traditional scratch-based coupon method will be replaced by a digital platform designed to simplify the parking experience, increase operational efficiency, and promote eco-friendly practices through reduced paper usage.
