Couple ordered to enter defence for trafficking, possessing drugs

Man pleads not guilty to intimidation, causing hurt to wife.

KUCHING, Nov 9: A young couple was today charged with trafficking and possessing dangerous drugs.

High Court Judge Azhahari Kamal Ramli fixed Feb 18 to 22 and from Feb 25 to 28 next year for the trial.


Accused Mohamad Zulizan, 33 and Lim Seng Sia, 22, were slapped with two charges.

For the first charge, they were alleged to be trafficking 64.44 grams of Methamphetamine on May 11, 2018, at about 1pm at a room of a hotel in Kuching. They are charged under section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and punishable under subsection 39B(2) of the same Act read with section 34 of the Penal Code.

As for the second charge, they are alleged to have in their possession 30.58 grams of Ketamine on May 11, 2018, at about 1pm at a room of a hotel in Kuching. They are charged under section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and are punishable under subsection 12(3) of the same Act read together with section 34 of the Penal Code.

Mohamad Zulizan is represented by Roger Chin, while Lim Seng Sia is represented by Wong King Wei. — DayakDaily
