KUCHING, April 23: Regular bus commuters who often use the bus stop near the wet market in Kota Sentosa will have proper seats to sit on soon as Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will be repairing them.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP)’s Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) chief Wilfred Yap said residents and the business community recently told him about the dilapidated seats at the bus stop, and he immediately consulted MPP.

“Following a request for assistance, the matter was immediately communicated to MPP, and the repairs will be carried out shortly,” said Yap in a statement today.

He said PCB would continue to serve the community by ensuring, among others, that infrastructure facilities in Kota Sentosa are in good condition and properly maintained.

Yap said he would also continue to highlight and try to resolve issues of public interest affecting the public.

PCB, he added, was always ready to lend a helping hand to the anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it.

Anyone requiring assistance can always call PCB’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct to SUPP head office to request for assistance. — DayakDaily
