KUCHING, April 25: Miri City Council (MCC) is planning to hold a grand reception to celebrate the 18th anniversary of Miri City Day, which falls on May 20, 2023.
“The 18th anniversary of Miri City Day is a significant year corresponding with the ‘coming of age’ concept of a youth turning into an adult.
“Therefore, there will be a celebration to mark this significant age,” said Miri mayor Adam Yii in a statement today.
To promote tourism abroad, starting with establishing more international links, MCC will publicise Miri City internationally.
The council will also take this opportunity to invite foreign visitors, including mayors from the foreign cities with whom they have established relationships for the past few years, to enable them to join in on the Miri City Day Anniversary celebration and Miri May Fest 2023. — DayakDaily
