Coronavirus: Five more new cases under investigation

KUCHING, Feb 14: Five more suspected new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases were recorded in Sarawak today.

The State Disaster Management Committee, in a statement today, informed that the new patients under investigation (PUI) cases were all Malaysians, who were being treated at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

This brought the total number of PUI cases in Sarawak from Jan 10 until Feb 13 to 85 cases, comprising 64 Malaysians, 18 Chinese nationals, one Thai, one Indonesian and one Canadian.

Of the total, 75 have tested negative while 10 cases were still awaiting laboratory test result.

The Health Department had also screened 5,176 arrivals at various airports, land and sea entry points statewide yesterday. —DayakDaily
