SIBU, Jan 11: Police have detained 12 individuals including nine masseurs from China during a raid carried out under Ops Noda yesterday.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, said three local men were among those arrested in the operation led by CID chief DSP Hadian Keria.
They have been detained for investigation under Section 5(1)(b) of the Entertainment Ordinance 2000, for failing to produce valid trading licence and Section 105 of the same ordinance.
“Those arrested were among 34 individual who have been checked including one Filipino women and 33 Chinese national female (during the operations),” Stanley said. — DayakDaily
