Coordination for Federal projects in Sarawak worth RM4.1 bln under 12MP needs to be expedited

KUCHING, April 21: The Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU-JPM) has stressed the need to ensure and expedite the coordination for Federal projects worth about RM4.1 billion in Sarawak.

The Unit’s director-general Datuk Ruji Ubi raised and discussed this matter during a courtesy call on the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Wednesday (April 20).

According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Ruji also informed that the courtesy visit was also to introduce the new director of the Sarawak Federal Development Office (SDO) Jasni Jubli.

“Besides that, we also discussed the need to speed up the coordination of Federal projects in Sarawak.

“The need to ensure coordination of these projects is expedited is because there are funds of about RM4.1 billion that have been allocated to Sarawak under the 12th Malaysia Plan,” he explained.

Later, Abang Johari also received a courtesy call from the Police Force Commission (SPP) led by Sarawak Commissioner of Police DCP Dato Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri.

The courtesy call was to introduce a newly appointed SPP member Norzanah Buang. — DayakDaily
