Cooperation and commitment from all parties needed to manifest ‘Greater Bau For All’ vision

KUCHING, Dec 30: The ‘Greater Bau For All’ vision can be realised through the cooperation and commitment from all parties, says Bau District Council chairwoman Anielia Siam.

According to Anielia, as the council chairwoman, she will work together with all council members and staff to prioritise the delivery of council services in accordance with council policies and legal provisions.

“The cooperation of the Bau District Council with other departments and agencies is also very important in carrying out duties and functions of the council more effectively in line with the government’s National Blue Ocean Strategy approach.


“Hopefully, with this collaboration, we can improve the government’s delivery system for the people and bring high-impact results that not only impact the performance of the Bau District Council, but also other departments and agencies,” said Anielia in her speech during the 65th Bau District Council Anniversary Celebration held at Tasik Biru Food Village, here today.

Meanwhile, the celebration was officiated at by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also witnessed the presentation of cheques to six schools and one sports club.

The cheque recipients are SK St, John, SK St Stephen, SJK Chung Hua Bau, SJK Chung Hua Taiton, SJK Chung Hua Buso, SJK Chung Hua Musi and Power Aquatics Swimming Club Kota Samarahan.

Also present were Local Government and Housing Minister Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Tasik Biru assemblyman Dato Henry Harry Jinep and Acting State Secretary Datuk Seri Abu Bakar Marzuki. — DayakDaily
