KUCHING, Jan 12: Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a rainfall alert for seven districts in Sarawak today (Jan 12).
In an advisory alert issued at 9am, MetMalaysia said the affected districts are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, and Mukah.
The continuous rainfall warning is issued when there are signs that rain or thunderstorms are expected to occur for more than 6 hours in that period in an area.
The public is strongly urged to stay informed by checking MetMalaysia’s official website at www.met.gov.my, following MetMalaysia social media channels and downloading the MyCuaca app for the latest weather information. – DayakDaily
