“This year, we have witnessed the success of the Sarawak government in completing several major bridges to ensure smooth travel between urban and rural areas,” he said.

He added that with the availability of comprehensive infrastructure, he is confident the productivity of rural communities can be increased, thereby empowering the agriculture, tourism and small and medium enterprise sectors.

The Head of State also acknowledged the Sarawak government’s strong commitment to developing basic infrastructure projects aimed at ensuring inclusive and balanced development between urban and rural areas.

“Basic infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, electricity and clean water supply as well as telecommunications continue to be extended to rural areas to unlock economic potential for the well-being of the people,” he said. — DayakDaily
