KUCHING, March 10: News of the devastating longhouse fire at Bukit Ugan Baru, Sg Binyu, Sebauh, Bintulu earlier today came as a surprise to Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Bintulu.
Bomba Bintulu only found out about the tragedy this morning after receiving pictures on the incident via a social media application.
After receiving the information, Bomba Bintulu immediately contacted Sebaoh Police Station to verify the incident and it was confirmed that the fire had razed the longhouse at 1am.
According to Bomba personnel on duty when the incident happened, they did not receive any emergency call about the fire.
A Bomba forensics team arrived on site earlier today to investigate the longhouse fire at Bukit Ugan Baru. — DayakDaily
