KUCHING, Dec 24: Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, has called on Sarawakians working abroad to return home and contribute to the development of the State.
He said Sarawak has made remarkable achievements this year, which include the passing of the most significant State Budget for 2024 with a projected revenue of RM12.7 billion, as well as establishing several progressive and inclusive laws that will secure the Sarawakians’ future with integrity, financial security and sustainability towards achieving Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 agenda.
“This remarkable progress under Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s leadership is only the tip of the iceberg on what we would achieve in our nation-building efforts.
“All we need is to maintain our togetherness and remain vigilant against people who wish to drive us Sarawakians apart.
“To fellow Sarawakians abroad, your skills are crucial; come home and contribute and let us build Sarawak together. The time is now,” he said in a video message in conjunction with the Christmas and New Year celebrations, uploaded on Facebook last night (Dec 23). — DayakDaily
