SRI AMAM, Nov 11: Collaboration from all parties are needed in ensuring a relevant and sustainable education in the country.
Lubok Antu MP Jugah Muyang said the national education is facing challenges and in need of a paradigm shift for it to be relevant.
“New technology and digital revolution have drastically impacted global environment and this would demand a collaborative effort from all parties to ensure that the country’s education is in line with today’s development,” said Jugah when attending“Mansang Benderang SMK Melugu 2019” dinner, last Friday.
Jugah presented RM5,000 financial aid to the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of SMK Melugu to fund students’ and teachers’ activities.
He said in order to successfully transform the educational agenda in the country, the responsibility should not only be placed on the teachers’ shoulders.
Jugah noted the parents should also be involved in developing their children education by taking part as volunteers in their children’s school activities.
“The parents, teachers and the local communities should have a strong relationship, which would enable them to share any ideas that can benefit all,” he said. — DayakDaily
