KUCHING, Jan 24: Chinese New Year (CNY) in Sarawak is allowed to be celebrated for two days on Feb 1 and 2 and is limited to close family members only.
In a statement today, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said during these two days, visiting activities are also allowed among immediate family members.
These procedures also apply for Chap Goh Mei on Feb 15.
Previously, SDMC stated that the CNY celebration is only allowed on the first day on Feb 1.
The committee reminded that visiting family members are capped at 50 per cent at one time depending on the size of the house while complying with the one-meter physical distancing requirement.
Meanwhile, open houses are not allowed by any individual, association or organisation.
