MIRI, Jan 12: Road blocks will be set up between Covid-19 green zones (Marudi, Subis and Telang Usan), yellow zone (Beluru) and red zone (Miri) to control the movement of people between various zones, revealed Minister-in-charge for the Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) Datuk Lee Kim Shin today.
This is in line with the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC)’s decision yesterday to enforce a Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) for Miri.
These roadblocks will be located at:
1. Jalan Nyalau, Subis
2. Suai
3. In front of SMK Agama Miri
4. Jalan Lambir, Miri
5. Sungai Tujuh, Miri
6. Sungai Selepin, Beluru
7. Ferry Point, Marudi
For members of the public who wish to apply for police permits to travel from green and yellow zones to red zones and vice versa, they may submit their application at the following police stations:
1. Balai Polis Miri
2. Balai Polis Lutong, Miri
3. Balai Polis Lapangan Terbang, Miri
4. Balai Polis Tanjung Lobang, Miri
5. Balai Polis Beluru
6. Balai Polis Marudi
7. Balai Polis Long Lama
8. Balai Polis Bekenu
9. Balai Polis Niah
Meanwhile, four more longhouses in Bakong, Miri have been directed to lock down with immediate effect for 14 days starting January 12.
These longhouses are Apol Alam, Sungai Liam Libau Bakong; Chabu Makom, Lepong ajai, Sungai Liam; Anthony Ladi, Sungai Lepong Liam; and Justine Manai, Sungai Entulang Bakong.
All members of the public are advised to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for CMCO set by the National Security Council and the State Disaster Management Committee. — DayakDaily
