CM receives visit from NTF commander, discusses Sarawak border safety

KUCHING, Jan 20: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today received a visit from the National Task Force (NTF) delegation to discuss Sarawak’s border safety.

The visit, which was held at the Chief Minister’s Office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, was led by NTF Commander Laksamana Madya Dato’ Aris Adi Tan Abdullah.

Among the other matters discussed were regarding the cooperation from both the Sarawak government and NTF on the implementation of ‘Ops Benteng’ throughout the State.

During the visit, former Commander of 3 Brigades, Brigadier General Dato Azhar Ahmad, who has been transferred to NTF of Nov 2, also took the opportunity to present the Chief Minister with a souvenir.

Also present were National Security Council Sarawak director Sophian Isswandy Ismail, NTF chief of operation staff Dato’ Mohd Yusoff Mamat and NTF J2 Division assistant chief staff Brigadier General Dzaidee Schaff Jamaluddin. ā€” DayakDaily
