PADAWAN, Oct 30: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to unveil a state Budget 2018 with a difference in the coming State Legislative Assembly sitting.
Speaking at the opening of SK Landeh today, Abang Johari decline to reveal any details, only saying that “The state budget will be different. I will announce it when the times comes.”
However, he said it will be more towards the development of the state.
“Since we are in control of our own spending expenditure, about 70 per cent of the total budget will go to development.”
The State Legislative Assembly sitting will be held from Nov 8 to 17.
Meanwhile, the new SK Landeh here was built to replace the old 66-year old school.
Completed on Nov 16 last year, the whole school cost RM19.6 million.
Built on 2.23 hectares of land, the school is able to accommodate 540 students at any one time. — DayakDaily
