SIBU, Feb 21: A motorcyclist can thank his lucky stars as he suffered only hand injuries after he lost control of his bike and went straight down a three-metre deep pit at Jalan Lanang last night
State Fire and Rescue Services Department said they received a distress call at 10.15pm concerning a motorcyclist, Steward Minggu who accidentally went down the pit which was dug four months ago for piling work.
“After receiving the call we quickly dispatched nine firemen to the scene. Firemen found him stuck in between the cement poles,” it said.
The victim was helped up by firemen using a scoop stretcher.
“He was later sent to the hospital for treatment on his hand,” it added. — DayakDaily
