Close call for occupants in freak electrical switch fire

BINTULU, Dec 10: The main switchboard of a house at Taman Putra Jaya caught fire on Monday night for unknown reasons.

Occupants were fortunate to have spotted the fire at the main switchboard at around 9pm, managing to put it out before the Fire and Rescue (Bomba) Department arrived and checked to prevent the incident from happening again.

The case was later handed over to Sarawak Energy for further investigation on the cause of the fire.—DayakDaily
