KUCHING, Dec 16: Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s (PSB) wanting to work alone only goes to show  their ulterior motive or aim is to rejoin Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) after the election, says Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak chairman Chong Chieng Jen.

According to Chong, who is also DAP candidates for N9 Padungan, there is a possibility that such move of PSB is to replace some of the parties that PSB is at loggerheads or unhappy with in GPS.

“That trend of local based parties joining the ruling government after election has happened before.  All these local-based parties, no matter how well they did in the election, they will just join the ruling party after the election,” he told reporters during a press conference held at DAP headquarters here today.

Chong who is Stampin MP pointed out that no local-based party alone can put right the injustice and wrongs done to Sarawak.

He explained that to put things right, it involved national politics and national policies.

“Even with the might and strength of GPS, it still has to choose a partner nationally. What more to say, those who claimed to want to work alone, such as the PSB and Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK),” he said. – DayakDaily.
