KUCHING, June 29: Most Sarawakians do not want Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to be prime minister again, and Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri has no right to speak on behalf of Sarawakians, said Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs deputy minister Chong Chieng Jen.
Chong in a statement today said he believed that most Sarawakians have the basic dignity and honour not to want Najib to be their leader.
As an elected representative from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Nancy has every right to speak on behalf of GPS, he admitted.
“However, to claim that she is in the position to speak on behalf of Sarawakians and that Sarawakians support Najib to be the Prime Minister, that is most ridiculous.”
Not only is Nancyās assertion ridiculous, Chong added that it was also insulting and had brought disrepute and shame to Sarawakians.
Chong also claimed that GPS was prohibiting community leaders, village headmen and longhouse chiefs to attend events organised by federal agencies has been accusing the federal government of withholding allocations for Sarawak when there was no such allocation in the first place.Ā ā DayakDaily
