Wong claimed that Voon had deliberately distorted the facts and attacked him after his resignation from PBK.

Wong said this has caused damage to his personality and integrity as a man with principle.

He said it is necessary for him to respond to the false and defamatory remarks made by Voon .

According to Wong, after consulting a senior lawyer, he found that Voon’s remarks contained serious defamatory content.

Wong stressed that Voon must bear the legal responsibility for the latter’s untrue and baseless press statements .

“If Voon does not withdraw his false statements and make an apology to me within the time limit, I will reserve the legal right to sue him,” said Wong.

Voon had on Dec 29, 2020, issued a statement saying that the party had served a show cause letter to Wong.

According to Voon’s statement, Wong was served the show cause letter before Christmas wherein Wong must explain why he (Wong) must not face disciplinary actions for his (Wong)’s many remarks and statements appeared on Wong’s social media page.

In response, Wong who was former PBK Sarikei Central Working Committee chairman said, he had submitted his resignation on Dec 26, 2020.
