BINTILU, Sept 25: A Chinese national has died after falling from the third floor of a shopping mall at Park City Commercial Centre at noon yesterday (Sept 24).
In a news report by TVS, Bintulu District Police chief Superintendent Nixon Joshua Ali reported that the incident occurred at around 12pm, and the victim died at the scene from head injuries sustained in the fall.
“The victim was pronounced dead by the medical team from Bintulu Hospital, which arrived at the scene at 12.35pm,” he stated in a press statement.
He indicated that the victim is believed to be a Chinese national based on the passport and national identity card (written in Chinese characters) found in the victim’s possession.
“The body has been transported to the mortuary at Bintulu Hospital for further action. The public is advised not to engage in speculation that may cause confusion,” he added.
He stated that the initial police investigation is classified as a sudden death report (SDR).
