MIRI, Jan 26: A 47-year-old widow was found dead in a storage room of her house at Kampung Lusut, Luak Bay, here yesterday.
The discovery was made by two of her adult children at around 9.15am.
According to Miri deputy police chief, Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol, they immediately the mother to Miri Hospital but medical personnel attending to the woman pronounced her dead at 9.45am.
“A team officers was immediately deployed to the scene to carry out investigations following a police report lodged on the incident.
“However, no criminal elements were found at the scene. The case has been classified as sudden death,” he said when contacted.
Preliminary investigation found that the storage room door was closed and locked from inside, he added. — DayakDaily
