Centexs inks MoU with S’pore’s ITE Education Services to collab on tech programme

KUCHING, Feb 21: Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (Centexs) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore’s international provider ITE Education Services (ITEES) for collaboration in the field of technology programme.

ITEES is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to share ITE’s experience and expertise in Skills Education and Training (SET) with the international community.

The objective of the MoU is for Centexs and ITEES to develop and implement specific projects to support the manpower needs of Sarawak’s workforce.

This would include setting up infrastructure and facilities for the Technology Programme, implementing the Technology Programme’s Quality Assurance Framework, training of Technology Programme Leaders and Trainers, assessment and certification of Technology Programme students and other areas of interest as recognised and mutually agreed upon by both parties.

The MoU was signed by Centexs chief executive officer (CEO) Syeed Mohd Hussien Wan Abdul Rahman and ITEES CEO Bruce Poh in a simple ceremony held at Centexs Kuching here today.

Also present were Centexs advisor Dr Valdew Singh, Centexs Digital Academy deputy director Dayang Hanani Abang Ibrahim, Centexs deputy director of administration Ruhazlina Syam Abdol Hazis, and ITEES senior executive (Asean, Central Asia and East Asia) Alicia Lee. — DayakDaily
