SERIAN, Aug 5: The Krusen Fishing Farm, located approximately 12km from Serian Town along the Serian Mongkos Road, is opening its doors to fishing enthusiasts seeking a getaway from their busy schedules.
Situated about 500 meters off the main road, the farm is nestled within a few acres of lush greenery, surrounded by thriving oil palm trees.
From Serian Town to Krusen Fishing Farm, it is an effortless and smooth drive on tar-sealed road along the Serian-Mongkos Road, with scenic views in sight.

Upon reaching the junction to the fishing farm, there is a signboard on the right side of the road, where the fun awaits.
Visitors will be met by a man-made fishing pond of half-acre, which is surrounded by greenery and fresh air.
While fishing is free for anglers, all fish caught will be weighed and sold according to fish species. Among the fish found in the pond are red tilapia, patin, catfish, jelawat, lampan jawa, lee koh, betutu, haruan, kalui and pacu.

Krusen Fishing Farm owner, Kelvin Paron has been managing the farm since 2020 and serving the guests from as far as Siburan, Serian and surrounding villages daily except for Monday.
A retired navy personnel, it is Kelvin’s dream to expand his farm to include a homestay in the future if demand warrants it.
“At the same time, we are going to build two more ponds to cater for the growing number of fishing enthusiasts,” Kelvin told DayakDaily recently.

Apart from fishing, the farm also offers fishing enthusiasts camping sites for them to spend the night with only minimal fees of RM10 per person.
The farm features a canteen that offers refreshments for guests with catering services available for larger groups. Karaoke singing is available upon request on Saturday evenings.
